Birgit Wette - Graphic designer and artist

Birgit Wette is a freelance artist and holds a degree in graphic design. She trained at the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts and pursued further studies in Stuttgart and Düsseldorf (specializing in visual communication). After periods in Switzerland, Italy, and Spain, she founded the ScheunenAtelier Membach in Belgium and later the Atelier Farbklang – spaces for exhibitions, workshops, and creative collaboration. Between 2007 and 2022, she lived and worked in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern near Usedom, regularly exhibiting her work and collaborating with musicians to create a dialogue between sound and color.

She is currently working on the theme of "energy": large-format images that make subtle to technical aspects visible from the innermost self as an expression of deep emotional worlds, color sounds and sound colors – as independent works and commissioned works for architects and companies.
